A celebration for Dr Bach's 120th
birthday and 70 years of Bach flower remedies
Dear Conference Delegate
I am very much looking forward to meeting you at the Cromer Conference in September. It promises to be a fun and rewarding weekend and a wonderful opportunity for everyone involved in
Dr Bach's work to rejoice and honour his life and dedication and generally share the enjoyment of celebrating this special
anniversary.
Several people have expressed their interest in visiting the Bach Centre, Mount Vernon, Sotwell, Wallingford, Oxfordshire, where
Dr Bach settled and completed his discovery of the flower remedies.
We are therefore hosting an open day - as detailed below - to mark the occasion.
Bach Centre Celebration
The Bach Centre will be open as usual during the weeks before and after the Cromer Conference so anyone who wishes to call in to Mount Vernon may, of course, do so (normal opening hours: Monday-Friday 10am
- 3.30pm, except Public Holidays). However, on the Monday following the Conference
(Monday 25 September 2006), we shall be holding a special open day for those who are attending the conference and would like to take the opportunity to extend their weekend by visiting the Centre and spending time exploring Brightwell-cum-Sotwell where
Dr Bach spent the last years of his life.
The general itinerary will include coach transfer from Cromer to Sotwell, lunch at the Pavillion in the heart of the village, a Village Trail to see the various landmarks which piece together
Dr Bach's life in the village, a visit to Mount Vernon where you will receive a warm welcome, the chance to look around the garden and house, see
Dr Bach's furniture, old remedies and documents on display, slides to add
flavour to the Mount Vernon and Village Life story, and a chance to ask questions. Finally, a Cream Tea at the Pavillion before coach transfer to Reading mainline railway station where there are rail links to London, Heathrow and Gatwick airports and other areas of the UK. The day is being kindly subsidised which means that we can offer the inclusive day at a much reduced rate of
£50 to include coach transfer, lunch and afternoon tea, or
£20 if coach transfer is not required.
If you would like to attend the Bach Centre Open Day, a booking form is attached. We can accommodate a maximum of 100 guests, so applications will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis, with priority to those attending the Conference and travelling from outside the UK.
I very much look forward to meeting you - some maybe for the first time
- either at the Cromer Conference or at the Bach Centre, or both.
With best wishes
Judy Ramsell Howard
